The lingerie brand for women, Victoria's Secret, launched a campaign entitled "You Are An Icon", which demonstrates inclusion and empowerment towards women, and in this case also included the Mexican Victoria Volkova, a trans woman.

Victoria Volkova, first Mexican trans model to pose for Victoria's Secret

Victoria's Secret has been publishing videos on their social networks of Mexican women who are iconic, as their campaign says, which promote messages about diversity and self-love.

This week, the brand shared the first woman who will be part of their campaign, which was the actress Yalitza Aparicio, then it was the model Mariana Zaragoza and now the activist and actress Victoria Volkova.

"When you are less afraid of who you really are is when you are more iconic," was the slogan of Volkova's video, showing her, a trans woman, confident in who she is.

The actress appears wearing Victoria's Secret lingerie with a garter belt, panties, stockings, bra and slippers all in black.

Victoria Volkova, the first trans to be on the cover of Playboy

It is worth remembering that for the November-December 2020 edition in Mexico, Victoria Volkova was the first transsexual to appear on the cover of Playboy, where she felt she had fulfilled a dream with that adventure.

The young woman from Mexico City longed to be part of the bunnies that adorn the magazine for quite a few years.

Far from looking at it morbidly, Volkova considered that her participation contributes a grain of sand to promote diversity in Mexico and the world.

In addition to Volkova, other transgender women have previously posed for the brand in its international editions.

In 1981, the English model Caroline "Tula" Cossey broke with beauty stereotypes, and in 2017 the French model Ines Rau did it; a year later, the German edition invited Giuliana Farfalla.
