Tekashi 6ix9ine has sparked the ire of many people in the entertainment industry ever since he got out of prison following his very controversial racketeering case. 6ix9ine – whose real name is Daniel Hernandez – has been attacked online by many other rappers and commenters ever since.

These days, Tekashi 6ix9ine has a new documentary coming out about him, but it’s not authorized, nor is it positive. Page Six spoke with the director of the new docu-series who referred to 6ix9ine as someone with no talent at all but an “uncanny ability” to get a reaction from others on social media.

The director of Supervillian, Karam Gill, said to Page Six that Tekashi 6ix9ine’s every move was “hyper-calculated” to get a reaction from others. He went on to say that every word was designed to spark a reaction from people on the internet, and he’s very good at it as well.

According to Gill, he was initially very reluctant about taking on the project, for a few reasons, namely his purported toxicity in the culture. Gill went on to say that it was an important story, even though it’s one without morals because it highlights where hip-hop and the broader culture currently stands.

The Supervillain director says the world is now a place where people can become famous without actually doing anything meaningful, substantial, or even having talent. Tekashi 6ix9ine, he explained, is just a person who realized the power of having a platform.

While he’s not a fan of Tekashi 6ix9ine as a person, Karam said that his ability to use social media to his advantage was “incredible,” particularly his understanding of how humans behave on it.

As it was previously reported, Daniel was sentenced to two years behind bars back in 2018 for his involvement in the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, a group he allegedly paid to be associated with as a way of getting clout in the streets.

When asked for a comment, Daniel’s lawyer, Lance Lazarro, stated that the documentary was far from the truth because Daniel really was a “good human being.”
